My daughter and I found out about this company at the last minute for our November Annapurna Circuit trek, and we couldn’t have been luckier! With just 28 days to organize, Nepal Hiking Team truly delivered. Ganga was incredibly accommodating with the schedule, the end point, and everything in between. He even arranged for some forgotten personal items to be sent from a teahouse to my hotel. Ganga was there to greet us at the start of the trek and again at the end before we left Nepal. During the trek, we were in excellent hands with our guide, Santosh, and our porter, Suncar. We couldn’t have asked for a better duo.

Everything was handled seamlessly—comfortable accommodations each night, three meals a day, and even fruit after every evening meal. They were simply fantastic!

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience and exactly what we had hoped for. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a hassle-free trekking adventure.

My husband and I spent a month in Nepal and had the opportunity of two treks with the Nepal Hiking Team. We started with the Langtang Valley Trek, which was an incredible "warm-up" to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Short Trek. Please refer to the separate review for that amazing experience. After hiking above 16,000ft at the summit of Chorka Ri, we were well-prepared for ABC. This trek is a breathtaking loop up a 3,300-step staircase leading to several spectacular vantage points (hello, Poon Hill!) before a thrilling approach to the base of Machapuchare (Fishtail) and the Annapurna range.

Each day brought new and increasingly stunning views as we neared ABC. On finally arriving, we didn’t feel small but rather privileged to stand in awe of the mountains we had spent a week reaching. Reaching the base camp would have been enough. However, Nepal Hiking Team made it truly outstanding. 

Our guide, Santosh, and porter, Sabin, flawlessly guided our experience. Their expertise in trekking strategy, topography, botany, and life made this the journey of a lifetime. Thank you, gentlemen. I thoroughly enjoyed completing the Annapurna Circuit with Paban and Govinda as my guide and assistant guide. Both were incredibly friendly, funny, and patient. Paban, in particular, spoke excellent English and had an impressive knowledge of the region.

An incredible and successful trek in the Annapurna region! This was my third visit to Nepal, and although I had prior experience with high altitude, being older this time presented its challenges. Fortunately, I had an outstanding guide, Prajwal, who managed all the trekking arrangements, accommodation, and meals brilliantly and efficiently. Prajwal ensured I always had the best rooms and timely meals at the guest houses, even including a fruit platter for breakfast. His communication was exceptional—he discussed the next day's plans with me, adjusted the trip for a better experience, and shared his invaluable insights from his family farm, answering my endless questions as we passed through villages and towns.

Prajwal was incredibly patient and understanding, accommodating my frequent photo stops and slower pace (older legs). Crossing the Thorong La Pass was a significant personal achievement, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of Prajwal and Sandesh. I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team!

Our 11-day journey with two guides (main guide: Kishor Karki) and three porters exceeded all expectations. The service throughout the expedition was exceptional, and I couldn’t recommend the team more highly.

I did the 12-day Annapurna Circuit short trek, expecting it to be a group tour. However, since I chose late November (the end of the busy season), it turned out to be a private tour, which was still an amazing experience. My guide, Asha, and porter, Basu, were incredible, and they introduced me to temples and sites along the trek that I wouldn't have discovered on my own.

A thoughtful touch was being provided with clementines and pomegranates every evening. The hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara were very comfortable, and if you have time, I recommend adding an extra day in Pokhara, which I found much more walkable than Kathmandu.

I had an amazing trekking experience with Nepal Hiking Team on my first trek in Nepal, and I would love to return. In October 2024, I went with a group of three friends, all over 60. NHT was very organized, and the team members were professional, friendly, and welcoming. Communication during the preparations was excellent, with prompt email responses and helpful suggestions. We initially planned a 9-day Everest Base Camp trek but added a few days for acclimatization. Their expertise gave us confidence throughout the process.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, NHT picked us up at the airport and took us to a hotel in the Thamel Market district. The following morning, we had a meeting with their representative and our guide, Hari Gurung, to review our itinerary and supplies. Due to an unexpected snowfall of 2–3 feet at Gorakshep the previous week, we prepared for trekking in snow. Hari accompanied us to outfitters to purchase any additional supplies.

The trek began early the next morning, with a 5:00 am pickup for our flight to Lukla. From then on, Hari managed all logistics, including accommodations, meals, and trekking arrangements. With years of experience guiding English-speaking trekkers, Hari shared his love for Nepal and the Himalayas with us daily.

Our porters, Sunil Tamang and Maitaram Tamang, played an essential role in carrying our 15 kg duffle bags with clothing and supplies, while we carried smaller backpacks with rain gear, snacks, and water. Their hard work, carrying two duffle bags each, was impressive, and we deeply appreciated their efforts.

Having a guide made the trek smoother in countless ways. Hari shared insights about the Sherpa culture as we passed through villages, guided us on trails shared with pack animals, encouraged us over suspension bridges, named the mountain peaks, set a steady pace, and ensured we took sufficient rest breaks. At the tea houses, Hari took care of everything, from taking food orders to addressing any other needs we had.

At higher altitudes, Hari remained attentive to our condition and was always positive, patient, and supportive. Reaching Everest Base Camp on a sunny, clear day was an unforgettable moment and made every step of the journey worthwhile.

I had best time on my Everest Base Camp trek! Ramesh my guide, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive to my needs, took care of everything, and made sure to bring me to the best tea houses along the way.
