Nepal Hiking Team made our 4-day, 3-night trip to Nepal truly special. From the very first message, Ganga Ji was incredibly responsive and thoughtful—he really listened to what we were interested in and crafted a fantastic itinerary that included great hotels and well-organized tours. Our guide, Kumar Ji, was absolutely wonderful—kind, knowledgeable, and a joy to travel with. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hoping to return soon. Nepal Hiking Team is simply the best!

Experience of a lifetime! Leading up to the trip, I felt some excitement and uncertainty because I was traveling from New Jersey to Nepal, so it was a trip to the other side of the world. Also knowing we were going to trek to the highest region in the world.
Once we arrived in Kathmandu, we met up with our guide (Bhim). After a few minutes of talking with him, I felt a sense of calm and my excitement of joy grew from there. And I was right he and his team made sure we had the best experience possible.
The full trek going and coming was incredible. Our guide, Bhim, made sure we had the best experience. Can’t say enough of how wonderful he and his team made this one for the books!
I highly recommend booking with this company and Bhim! Namaste!
I just completed trekking in Nepal together with another solo traveler. The service of Nepal Hiking Team was exemplary from the start till the end. Nothing beats word-of-mouth good reviews.
Mr. Ganga has been very responsive to queries from Day 1 and was physically present even on the last day to officially close the loop for the package tour.
Our guide Bibek was very patient and sincere as he led us through the trek. He resolved issues with his heart and people skills and gave assurance whenever plans suddenly changed.
He ensured things were changed for the better. Our porter, Rajendran, was also good and always arrived ahead of time to ensure our rooms were confirmed.

We had the best time in Nepal. The beautiful views and warm hospitality of the Nepali people are truly unparalleled.
Instrumental to our amazing experience were our guide, Netra, and porter, Vasu.
We were super well taken care of. Netra was quick to assess our physical abilities and was able to effectively set the pace for our hikes. He had very good knowledge of the route and terrain. Importantly, this was our first time attempting a hike at a high altitude, so he took extra care to check on us regularly.
On a personal note, proper gear, including a powerful down jacket for -20 degrees Celsius and a proper hiking backpack, is super essential.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team and Netra/Vasu for your Nepal adventure!
June 2024, I did the Kailash Mansarovar Parikrama with Nepal Hiking Team (NHT). It was an amazing experience.
The management of NHT under Gangaji was perfect—from airport pickup, the entire trip, and drop-off back to the airport.
While waiting four days after applying for the Chinese Tibetan visa, NHT planned a local overnight practice hike to Nagarkot-Chisapani. This hike prepared us well for the Kailash Kora. We also got to experience Nepal’s National Park and the rustic village life. NHT arranged enough support staff to carry loads for those who needed assistance. Gangaji from NHT also organized an amazing Everest mountain view flight for interested members.
During the actual Yatra, NHT provided its own food truck and an experienced cooking team, carrying all essentials. We were served freshly cooked hot Indian vegetarian food every day. Thanks to the Dal-Bhat power, there were no food-related issues throughout the trip.
NHT’s Nepali lead guides, Arun and Gokul, were super helpful and had incredible energy. Even after an exhausting day of hiking, they were always available, ensuring everyone was settled and all arrangements were in place. Our Tibetan guide, Dawa Sherpa Dai, felt like a big brother—he shared so much knowledge about the region’s geography, rivers, and mountains during the road trip.
The hotels NHT booked for the road journey were relatively new and very good. They even planned packed lunch breaks at scenic locations, making the trip even more enjoyable.
During the four-day Kora (three days plus an extra Charan Sparsha day), NHT monitored oxygen levels at the end of each day. A few yatris had to turn back due to low oxygen levels, and NHT ensured their exit was handled smoothly. Some were also given the option of an SUV after descending Dolma La Pass.
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it with Nepal Hiking Team. Appreciate all your detailed coordination and support!

This is a cultural sightseeing tour, not a trek. It is classified as "Easy" in difficulty. The activities involve walking and exploring historical sites, temples, and durbar squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, as well as a scenic drive to the hilltop town of Nagarkot. It is suitable for most travelers in general good health who enjoy walking and cultural exploration.
The maximum elevation reached on this tour is 2,175 meters (about 7,136 feet) in Nagarkot. At this altitude, altitude sickness is not typically a concern for a short stay. As this is a cultural tour with easy activities, comfortable, casual clothing is recommended. Layers are key as mornings and evenings can be cool, especially in Nagarkot, while days can be warm. A light jacket or fleece is advisable. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for exploring the durbar squares and temple sites. For visits to temples like Pashupatinath, modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is respectful.
No specialized gear is required. If you plan to wake up early to watch the sunrise from the viewpoint in Nagarkot, bring a warm layer like a jacket or sweater, as it can be chilly at that elevation (2,175m) before dawn. Sunglasses and a hat are also useful for the daytime sun.
Yes, bringing a small daypack is very convenient. You can use it to carry water, a camera, extra layers, sunscreen, and any personal items you might need during the day's sightseeing tours, leaving your main luggage at the hotel.

In Nagarkot, you will stay in a hotel that offers scenic views, often from its location on a hilltop. While specific lodge names aren't listed on the page, the accommodation is chosen to provide comfort and access to the panoramic mountain views the area is known for.
In Kathmandu, most hotels provide Wi-Fi. In Nagarkot, connectivity is generally available but can be less reliable than in the capital. This can be a perfect opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the serene environment and mountain views. Your guide will have a local phone for any essential communication.
The package operates on a B.B. Plan, which means breakfast is included at the hotels each morning. Meals not specified in the 'Meal Inclusions' (like lunch and dinner) are not covered in the cost. A farewell dinner in Kathmandu is included as a special addition.
Your guide can recommend excellent local restaurants in Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, and Nagarkot for your lunches and dinners. This allows you to explore the diverse culinary scene at your own pace and according to your preferences.
Bottled water is widely available for purchase. To reduce plastic use, you can also bring a reusable water bottle and use water purification tablets or a filter, or your guide can advise on places to safely refill.

The listed package operates with a minimum group size of 2. You can join a scheduled group departure. Alternatively, you can arrange this as a private tour, which offers greater flexibility in timing, pace, and itinerary. For a private tour, you would have a dedicated vehicle and guide solely for your party.
No, tips and gratuities for your tour guide and driver are not included in the package cost. Tipping is a customary way to show appreciation for good service. Your guide can offer guidance on appropriate amounts if you're unsure.
Nagarkot is renowned for its spectacular sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayan range. From the viewpoint at 2,175m, you can witness stunning vistas of peaks including the Khumbu ranges, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang ranges, and even Mount Everest on a clear day.
