First, you will ascend to the Swyambhunath Stupa, which is known as the Monkey Temple, and from here, you will be able to view the city. Next, you will change your tour guide to visit the most sacred Temple, known as Pashupatinath Temple, which is also an important pilgrimage Temple for Hindus. You proceed to the Great Boudhanath Stupa, perhaps the largest stupa outside Tibet. Finally, you will go for the Human touch with the Kathmandu Durbar Square tour that will give you a view of ancient architecture and cultural value. After this adventure, you will take a journey overland to Pokhara, where the next part of your amazing tour will take place.

Following this, visit the peaceful Bindabasini Temple before proceeding to marvel at the mystery and beauty of the Mahendra Cave. Sightseeing also involves a trip to the alluring Devi’s Fall and a serene boat ride on Phewa Lake. It is said to be a day of Spiritual awakening that is in unison with nature’s extravaganza.
Proceeding further with your tour, you will proceed towards Lumbini – the sacred place of birth of Siddhartha Gautam, also known as Buddha. In and around Lumbini, you will be able to visit several holy shrines, the most important of which is the Mayadevi Temple – the place where Prince Siddhartha was born – and the Ashoka Pillar, which was put up by Emperor Ashok to register his visit to this birthplace of Lord Buddha.
Your next stop is Chitwan, where you will be looking forward to doing several interesting things. Here, you will have the opportunity for a jeep tour through the Chitwan National Park, where several varieties of wildlife, including rhinos, tigers, and a rich bird life, prevail. Also, you will be taken for a quiet and peaceful boat ride across the Rapti River so you can appreciate the beauty of the area as far as animal and plant life is concerned. At the end of these exciting adventurous experiences, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, thus marking the last duration of this wonderful tour in Nepal.
If you are looking for the best time, then the answer is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November).
The climate is moderate and the best time for tourism and site-seeing. You can observe the stunning landscapes during those months to the fullest. During this time, it is also possible to travel around Lumbini and visit the typical holy places without feeling the heat and humidity. Wildlife of Chitwan is not also left out and of most importance. It is also an excellent time to go camping because these months are suitable for jungle trekking.
Another lovely period for this tour is the winter that is between the months of December and February. However, certain activities such as canoeing might not be available during this period. And since the monsoon rain can interfere with outdoor activities, it is advisable to avoid Monsoon season while planning to take this tour (June-August).
Deciding if a trip is right for you depends on your appeals and personal tastes.
If you're interested in exploring stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and exotic wildlife, this trip is just what you need! This action-packed journey is perfect for those who love the great outdoors. And if you're an adventurer at heart, you'll love the variety of activities included in this trip. From sightseeing tours to spotting rare wildlife on jungle safaris, there's never a dull moment.

Read our genuine feedback from past travelers with Nepal Hiking Team sourced from TripAdvisor, Google, Facebook, and Trustpilot.
Experience of a lifetime! Leading up to the trip, I felt some excitement and uncertainty because I was traveling from New Jersey to Nepal, so it was a trip to the other side of the world. Also knowing we were going to trek to the highest region in the world.
Once we arrived in Kathmandu, we met up with our guide (Bhim). After a few minutes of talking with him, I felt a sense of calm and my excitement of joy grew from there. And I was right he and his team made sure we had the best experience possible.
The full trek going and coming was incredible. Our guide, Bhim, made sure we had the best experience. Can’t say enough of how wonderful he and his team made this one for the books!
I highly recommend booking with this company and Bhim! Namaste!
I just completed trekking in Nepal together with another solo traveler. The service of Nepal Hiking Team was exemplary from the start till the end. Nothing beats word-of-mouth good reviews.
Mr. Ganga has been very responsive to queries from Day 1 and was physically present even on the last day to officially close the loop for the package tour.
Our guide Bibek was very patient and sincere as he led us through the trek. He resolved issues with his heart and people skills and gave assurance whenever plans suddenly changed.
He ensured things were changed for the better. Our porter, Rajendran, was also good and always arrived ahead of time to ensure our rooms were confirmed.
- Guided by Bibek Dhamala
We had the best time in Nepal. The beautiful views and warm hospitality of the Nepali people are truly unparalleled.
Instrumental to our amazing experience were our guide, Netra, and porter, Vasu.
We were super well taken care of. Netra was quick to assess our physical abilities and was able to effectively set the pace for our hikes. He had very good knowledge of the route and terrain. Importantly, this was our first time attempting a hike at a high altitude, so he took extra care to check on us regularly.
On a personal note, proper gear, including a powerful down jacket for -20 degrees Celsius and a proper hiking backpack, is super essential.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team and Netra/Vasu for your Nepal adventure!
We were a group of 17 people from California who had been preparing for a year for this trip. Nepal Hiking Team was referred to us by one of my friends. After talking to & interviewing several companies, NHT seemed very responsive, cost-effective & experienced. After the trip, they proved us nothing less.
Their guides are top-of-the-line, very kind, and helpful. They made sure we all were prepared for the next day, set our expectations rights, & guided us through managing altitude sickness.
We all made it to Nepal and came back happy and healthy.
We all thank NHT for making our dream come true, and looking forward to many more with them.
I highly recommend the Nepal Hiking Team for anyone planning to trek in Nepal. My spouse and I had a fantastic time on our trek and greatly credit our positive experience to the thought and care put into it by Nepal Hiking Team in coming up with a personalized plan that would enable us to succeed.
Every detail was considered to match us based on our abilities and interests. We also could not have felt more cared for minute to minute by the team that supported us from the minute we arrived in Kathmandu until our departure.
Our guide, Nim, was amazing -- so careful, thoughtful, warm, and supportive. And our porters, Sabin and Ganesh, were delightful. They were all unbelievably generous in terms of how much they worked to ensure we were comfortable and prepared. They thought of every detail along the way.

This is a low-altitude tour, with the highest point being the Sarangkot viewpoint near Pokhara (approx. 1,600m/5,250ft). Altitude sickness is not a concern. The main considerations are typical travel health precautions: staying hydrated, using sun protection, and being cautious with food and water. The tour is designed to be easy and accessible for all.
Since this is a tour with easy activities, you should pack comfortable, casual clothing suitable for sightseeing. Essentials include: comfortable walking shoes, a warm jacket for mornings and evenings (especially for the Sarangkot sunrise), light layers for daytime, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. For Chitwan, neutral-colored clothing is recommended for wildlife viewing. A small daypack for daily excursions is useful.
Yes, for Chitwan National Park, it's advisable to bring lightweight, long-sleeved shirts and pants in earthy colors to blend in and protect from the sun and insects. Binoculars will enhance your bird and wildlife watching experience. A good insect repellent is also highly recommended. You'll be going on a jeep safari and a canoe ride on the Rapti River, so a hat and sunglasses are useful.
The best times are Spring (March-May) and Autumn (Sept-Nov), with moderate and pleasant weather. Winters (Dec-Feb) are cool, especially in the mornings and evenings. Pack layers for these seasons. The monsoon season (June-Aug) is best avoided due to rain, which can impact outdoor activities like canoeing and sightseeing.
Accommodation is in 3-star category hotels. Specifically, you will have three nights in Kathmandu, two nights in Pokhara, one night in Lumbini, and one night in a resort within Chitwan National Park. All accommodations include breakfast, with the Chitwan stay also including full board meals as part of the package.
All the locations visited—Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan—are major tourist hubs. Your 3-star hotels will almost certainly offer Wi-Fi. Mobile phone coverage is generally good in these urban areas, though it may be more limited during the actual jungle safari activities. You can expect to stay connected throughout the tour.
In Chitwan, you will stay at a resort within the national park area. This stay is on a full board basis, meaning breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. The resort is designed for wildlife enthusiasts and offers a comfortable base for your jungle adventures, including the jeep safari, canoe ride, and bird watching.
The package operates on a "B.B Plan," which includes breakfast at all hotels. The exception is your one-night stay in Chitwan, which includes full board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Yes, there will be ample opportunities. You are free to have lunch and dinner at local restaurants in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini. The tour also includes a special farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese restaurant in Kathmandu on the evening of Day 07, which is a great chance to experience authentic local food and culture.
It is recommended to drink only bottled or purified water to avoid stomach issues. Bottled water is readily available for purchase throughout the tour. To reduce plastic waste, you may also bring a reusable water bottle and use water purification tablets or a filter, which your guide can advise you on. Staying hydrated is important, especially during the full days of sightseeing and jungle activities.

During your jeep safari and canoe ride on the Rapti River, you have the chance to see one-horned rhinoceros, deer, wild elephants, wild buffaloes, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birds. Your stay in Chitwan includes a thrilling jeep tour through the national park, a peaceful canoeing trip along the Rapti River, and a dedicated bird-watching excursion in the jungle. These activities are designed to give you a comprehensive experience of the park's unique ecosystem and wildlife. You'll be accompanied by experienced naturalists to ensure a safe and informative adventure.
Wear comfortable, neutral-colored clothing (avoid bright colors) that covers your arms and legs for protection. Apply insect repellent, wear a hat and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring your camera with a zoom lens for wildlife photos, and binoculars if you have them. Listen carefully to your guide's instructions during the safari and canoe ride to ensure a safe and respectful wildlife viewing experience.
Yes, while the group joining option has a minimum size of 2 persons, the tour can be customized. The page explicitly states that if the itinerary does not meet your needs, Nepal Hiking Team can design individualized travel plans based on your preferences and specifications. This allows you to create a private version of the tour.
The standard offering for this "Glimpse of Nepal Tours" is a group joining option with scheduled departures. A private tour would offer more flexibility in terms of dates, pace, and potential itinerary adjustments. You would also have a dedicated guide and private vehicle exclusively for your party, which can be arranged by contacting the company.
Tips for your tour guides and drivers are not included in the package cost. This is a customary way to show appreciation for good service. The "Cost Excludes" section clearly lists "Tips for Tour Guides and Drivers." Additionally, any meals not specified as included (lunch and most dinners) and the optional flight from Chitwan to Kathmandu would be extra costs.
