A Quick Briefing About The Tour

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our friendly staff will greet you and take you to the hotel in Kathmandu. At the hotel, you can rest and unwind after a long hour of flight. However, if you are not tired, you can even stroll around the market in the tourist hub, Thamel.

You’ll first set out on a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu city. Here, you’ll visit the UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. After the heritage site, you’ll stop by the historic city of Patan.

Next, you will take a short flight to Pokhara. After you land here, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Here, you’ll visit popular attractions. After the tour, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu, concluding the trip.

You may arrive at the airport at any time. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and welcomed by one of Nepal Hiking Team’s representatives who will help you get transferred to the hotel and will explain further programs to you. You do not have anything planned for the day, thus you may just check into the hotel and relax for the remainder of time. Overnight stay at 5 star hotel in Kathmandu.

The Kathmandu city tour begins at 8:00 AM with a brief introductory meeting by our representative, who will also introduce the tour guide. Traveling by private vehicle, the tour will cover several significant sites.

First, we'll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site known for its medieval temples, wood carvings, and stone sculptures. Next, we'll head to Patan Durbar Square, featuring similar historical artistry and old palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings.

The tour then moves to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site by the Bagmati River, where Hindu cremation ceremonies can sometimes be observed. We'll continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, or the "Monkey Temple," located atop a hill and famous for its resident monkeys.

Lastly, we'll visit Bouddhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist Mandala in the world and a major pilgrimage site. This tour provides deep insights into Nepal's religious and historical heritage through these UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

From Kathmandu, you will take an early morning flight to the lake-side city of Pokhara, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel before starting the city sightseeing tour at 11:00 AM. The tour will include visits to several prominent places.

First, you will visit the Bindabasini Temple, located in the old bazaar and dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati. Next, you will see the famous Davis Fall, also known as Patale Chhango, on the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, where water cascades through numerous rocky gorges.

Across from Davis Fall is the revered Gupteshwor Cave, a 3 km long cave with hall-sized rooms and narrow passages, where a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved. The tour will then take you to the Seti River Gorge, carved by the Seti-Gandaki River and considered one of Pokhara's natural wonders.

 Finally, you will enjoy boating on the tranquil Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, with the Barahi Island Temple in its center. This two-storied pagoda, dedicated to the female force Shakti, offers reflections of Mount Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range in its serene waters.

Today, you will depart Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. You have the afternoon and the evening to stroll along the streets of Kathmandu for some last-minute shopping. At the end of the day, you will also be treated with a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.

Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the airport by one of Nepal Hiking Team’s representatives from where you will depart. Breakfast included.
