A native of Dhading, Rajesh Adhikari always dreamt of joining the tourism industry from a young age. To realize his dream he relocated to Kathmandu and worked hard to earn his trekking guide's license. Having grown up close to the mountains, Ganesh has local knowledge and skills to navigate safely through any natural hazard or difficulty along the trail.
Soft-spoken, dedicated, gentle, and a good organizer, Rajesh has been associated with Nepal Hiking Team since 2017.
We're three friends from Hong Kong who undertook Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp. Two months before our Nepal adventure, we started looking for a travel agency to sort out all the details so we could enjoy a hassle-free trip. Nepal Hiking Team was incredibly responsive, offering us useful suggestions every step of the way.
We chose them to handle everything from hotel bookings to internal flights and airport pickups. Our guide, Rajesh, was both fun and young, attentive and attentive to our needs. When our flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara was canceled due to weather, Rajesh swiftly arranged a jeep to Pokhara, keeping us right on schedule.
Throughout the trek, he was vigilant about our safety, which gave us great peace of mind. Our porters, Robin and Budda, were always upbeat and industrious, carrying our bags with constant smiles and ensuring our comfort. This trek was our first hiking experience abroad, and it couldn't have been better. The people of Nepal are hot and welcoming.
The views from the mountains were breathtaking, and the sunrise over the snow-capped peaks from Poon Hill was simply stunning.
This was my first holiday with the Nepal Hiking Team, and I trekked to Annapurna Base Camp with two of my friends in April 2024. The entire trip was fantastic, thanks to our guide Rajesh and porters Rabin and Budda, who were exceptional! They were incredibly thoughtful, friendly, and helpful. They took care of every detail and ensured our safety and enjoyment throughout the trek.
Ganga, the boss, was efficient in communication and excellent at making sure everything ran smoothly. Due to bad weather, we had to take a Jeep instead of a flight, but the well-planned and flexible itinerary accommodated our different flight schedules perfectly.
Everything was amazing! I would definitely recommend the Nepal Hiking Team to anyone looking to trek in Nepal.

I had an incredible time on my trek! Being my first time in Nepal, my first trekking experience, and booking at the last minute, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but Nepal Hiking Team made it easy.
Ganga was wonderfully accommodating, helping me extend both my mountain trek and my stay in Kathmandu. My guide, Rajesh, was fantastic, and I enjoyed meeting up with other trekkers and guides from Nepal Hiking Team along the way. It was special to bond with new friends, especially as a solo female traveler. I felt safe and supported the whole time.
My only advice? If you’re thinking about doing the trek, go for the full Everest Base Camp experience—you won’t want to turn back once you're on the mountain!
I had a fantastic time on my trek! I was not sure what to do and what to expect as it was my very first time traveling, my first trekking tour to Nepal, and I booked it at the last minute.
Ganga made the overall process very easy, smooth, and completely stress-free and was accommodating even when I added my stay in the mountains by an extra day and adding an extra night in Kathmandu.
Rajesh was an excellent guide, and it was so much fun meeting other trekkers and guides from Nepal Hiking Team along the way. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and had a special experience throughout the journey, and meeting new friends from different countries.
I’m already thinking about my next trip to Nepal again! My only advice for all of you is to go for the full EBC trek because once you’re in the Himalayas, you won’t want to return!

I hiked Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, and Langtang Helambu all with Nepal Hiking Team in the span of November and December 2023. Honestly, I can safely say that I couldn’t have thought anything being better than this. My guide, (Rajesh), and porters (Awjeey, Prabin, and Dipesh) were friendly, kind and also deeply knowledgeable about the Himalayas and always ready to lend a hand whenever needed.
Every part of the service exceeded expectations. Travelling between Kathmandu and the trekking ends were smooth and hassle-free. The meals along the route were appealing, and the accommodations were the best you could find in each location. If I ever trek in Nepal again, there’s no doubt I’ll be choosing Nepal Hiking Team.
And then, of course, there were the views. Poon Hill during Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal Viewpoint, Thorong La Pass, and Gosaikunda Lake—each view alone would make a trek absolute wondrous. But to experience them all in one trip, along with the incredible scenery every time you glance around, makes me wonder why I’d choose to hike anywhere other than Nepal.
I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Nepal and can’t wait to trek with Nepal Hiking Team again and again!
I went to EBC with Nepal Hiking Team (NHT), and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. I highly, highly recommend them! From my very first talk with Mr. Ganga (the owner) to the moment I was dropped off at the airport, everything went simply. The company provided fantastic sleeping bags and jackets. The tea houses we stayed in during the trip seemed to be the best available in each place.
I booked the group option, and I was so lucky with the people I trekked with. The porters were absolutely amazing—they’re the real kings of the mountains! And as for the guides, what can I say? We had three—Rajesh, Sabin, and Krishna—and they were simply the best guides ever! Each of them was incredibly helpful and made the journey to EBC (and back) so much easier for everyone. They even surprised me with a birthday cake on the day we returned to Lukla!
When I come back to Nepal, I’ll definitely reach out to NHT for more adventures. I wish all the best to the wonderful guides, porters, and Mr. Ganga.

My wife and I completed the 10-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek. It was tougher than we thought. But Raj (our guide) and Ganesh (our porter) turned a challenging trek into an absolutely incredible experience. They were patient, supportive, and true trail experts, knowing exactly where the tricky sections were. We also really enjoyed chatting with them as we hiked over 60 miles through the beautiful Nepali countryside.
Raj went the extra mile for us. When cloud cover blocked our view of the mountains on the first few tries, he made sure to wake up extra early to check for clear skies. If the mountains were visible, he would wake us just in time to catch the perfect view.
I HIGHLY recommend Nepal Hiking Team—and especially Raj and Ganesh. Their overall kindness, professionalism, support throughout the trip, and expertise made this once-in-a-lifetime Himalayan adventure truly epic.
