I recently completed the amazing experience of trekking to Makalu Base Camp with the Nepal Hiking Team. Our guide, Sangkar was exceptionally knowledgeable and looked after us at every stage of the journey. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal and the comfort provided by the tea houses all along the route.

Although we faced challenging weather conditions and transport concerns due to monsoon flooding, all arrangements were managed punctually. This trek left me with unforgettable memories and eye-catching views. I would highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team to anyone, as their very professionalism and attentive care truly stood out.

This was my first trekking, but it won’t be my last. Nepal Hiking Team (NHT) provides great service from the moment of arrival to departure. Although we encountered some challenges due to illness during the trek, NHT took all reasonable steps to ensure we continued to enjoy ourselves, and in the end, we achieved our goal.

He also recommended the best dishes at every stop, and I stayed healthy the entire time! This was so important to me, and I’m incredibly grateful.

I completed a 9-day Khopra Danda Trek with Nepal Hiking Team, with a total trip duration of 15 days, including transfers from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back, plus extra days in both cities. Last month, I trekked alongside five friends to Everest Base Camp on a sixteen-day. Originally, we planned to fly from Rammechap to Lukla, but bad weather meant we could be waiting days for a flight. With our return flights already booked, we didn’t want to risk the delay.

Instead, Nepal Hiking Team quickly stepped in, offering to drive us from Kathmandu to Phaplu on the first day, then from Phaplu to Jubing on the second day, and finally, hike from Jubing to Phakding on Day 3 – all at no additional charge. This way, we avoided days of airport waiting and stayed right on schedule.

Given the recent floods in Nepal, we weren’t sure we’d even be able to finish the trek, however, NHT went above and beyond to make sure the trek wouldn’t be affected.

From start to finish, our guide Deepak made us feel safe and kept us well-informed. He made sure we were always fed, had enough water, a roof over our heads, and were happy every step of the way.

Before the trip, we thought we’d be staying and sleeping in very basic teahouses and eating dal bhat every day. But, surprise, the accommodations and meal options exceeded what we expected through the way up to base camp.

Every place we stayed offered various food options - wifi and power were available either included or for a small fee. We found that most villages even had cafes or restaurants if you wanted other options.

Each day of the trip was an absolute blast. We became close friends with Deepak, who spoke fantastic English, understood our Aussie humor, and gave us great advice for the trail. I honestly don’t think we would’ve had such an amazing experience without Deepak.
I highly recommend this trek to anyone even remotely thinking about it. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’ll remember it forever. Huge thanks to Deepak, Bikash, and Nepal Hiking Team for having us.

My husband, my friend, and I recently ended the 12-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek. From the very first to end, we were well taken care of by the Nepal Hiking Team. Ganga was incredibly easy to communicate with via email while we planned our trek, ensuring everything was well organized before we landed. We were warmly welcomed at the airport and taken to our hotel (Woodapple) in Kathmandu, which was pretty nice.

Before our trek started, we met with Ganga to go over the essentials and pick up our duffel bags, down sleeping bags, and also down jackets. We also meet our guide (Surya) and one of our porters (Gokul). The following day, we were taken to the bus station to catch a bus to Pokhara. If I had one regret, it would be taking the 10-hour bus ride rather than a plane to Pokhara. It was a quite long and tiring drive. Once we reached Pokhara, we checked into a lovely hotel for the night, ready to move on our trek the next morning.

We were blessed to have good weather and ideal trekking conditions. Surya, our guide, w

as attentive and knowledgeable. He kept us on track and cared about our pace and abilities (we’re in our mid-60s to 70s years old but in very great shape). He made sure we had everything we needed and encouraged us to go at a comfortable pace. Our two porters, Gokul and Krishna, were strong and definitely helped out to reach our destinations each day.

The tea houses we stayed in exceeded our expectations for comfort. The food was always delicious and plentiful at all of them. Overall, the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We couldn’t have chosen a better company to book our trek through. Surya, along with our porters, takes good care of us; high marks from them. It was truly a five-star experience, and we have only high praise for the Nepal Hiking Team.
