Mr. Ganga Tamang is a trekking guide in Nepal Hiking Team. He has had over 7 years of trekking experience, and has built a good reputation as one. He is a passionate traveller, spending his leisure time travelling and exploring new areas.

Ganga has a trekking guide license issued by Ministry of Nepal Tourism. In this course provided by NATHM, the trekking guides are taught basic skills and abilities required by trekking guides. He completed this course with good remarks and is now an able trekking guide.

The clients sees him as a responsible and very knowledgeable guide. His dedication and passion for travel and trekking can be seen in his job. His simple and cheerful personality makes him adorable and therefore is liked by all.

    Couldn’t imagine using anyone else but Nepal Hiking Team for my trek to Everest Base Camp. Our guides, Ganga and Rajendra, not only made me feel safe which was my first priority but they were very fun and knowledgeable about the Himalayan region and culture. They made sure we were happy, comfortable and taken care of from start to finish with great accommodations and meals. Our whole group successfully made it to EBC which was largely due to the guidance of Ganga and Rajendra and our amazing porters. Very happy I chose Nepal Hiking Team!

  • Excellent Experience with Ganga in langtang valley

    Our experience with Nepal Hiking Team was without question marvelous! We went on an exciting trek through the Langtang Valley, guided by Ganga, who truly impressed us. With 23 years of experience, his knowledge of the place was unmatched. He perfectly balanced all our trip with safety, knowing when to push and when to be cautious.

    Ganga’s friendly and warm personality made the journey even better, and we built a great connection with him along the way.

  • Tough but awesome

    This trek was honestly an unforgettable experience. The views were out of this world—but yoh, it was tough too!

    From the start, we knew we were in good hands. Ganga was the perfect guide. We didn’t have to stress about a single thing—he had everything sorted. We were a bit nervous about the flights ‘cause we were on a tight schedule, but everything went off without a hitch. Proper smooth.

    We both loved the lower elevations the most—Namche was a real highlight. Such a cool vibe there.

    Unfortunately, I picked up the famous Khumbu cough when we reached Dingboche (not fun!), but luckily we could visit a clinic, and Ganga quickly adjusted our plan to make things a bit easier. He really looked out for us.

    Throughout the trek, Ganga shared so much about the area—he’s like a walking encyclopedia. We learnt loads about the mountains around us, and by the end, Ama Dablam was a favourite for all of us. Absolutely stunning.

    Can’t thank Ganga enough. This trip will stay with us for a long time.
