  • Annapurna circuit & more - Group of 6: exceptional service level

I am impressed at the service level of Nepal Hiking Team and the quality of the teams with us for our 17 days in Nepal. Gangga prior was ever patient and present with our neverending questions (and flight changes!) All logistics were organized perfectly.

We were a group of 6 friends and did the Annapurna circuit, followed by some activities in Pokhara, Nagarkot sunrise hike, and cultural tours in and around Kathmandu. All are organized by NHT.

The guide, asst guide & porters were always there to support. Attentive to our needs and general (fatigue) state. Briefings were made daily and safety was taken into consideration. The whole team mobilized to support us and make this experience an enjoyable one. They selected very good tea houses and tried to give us the best rooms. We had no restrictions on food & drinks for meals. There was always someone available to support our request and help us. It helped that the porter had broken basic English.

During the trek, we had a 2-speed group, and the porters, assistant guide, and guide managed us very well, so we had a stress-free experience all at our own pace. Our Thorong La pass crossing was exceptionally difficult for this season with crampons, and knee-high snow. Very cold weather on the last two nights. But we did it all safely (for one of us, a horse was needed for the very last stretch and arranged smoothly by our guide at high camp). A very special thanks to Prakash, Sabin, Tuk, Rhaj, and Prabin! Amazing team.

During the following days, we had 2 city tours, Kumar was our guide in Patan, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. A very knowledgeable guide with lots of anecdotes. We learned a lot, and he could talk about a lot of other interesting topics about Nepal. Great general culture & happily chat/share about Nepal's history and religions.

Overall, our group had a blast & everything was so very smoothly and professionally organized. I will recommend them happily.

  • Awesome experience with Nepal Hiking Team

My spouse and I are from Canada and we recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek in April 2023. We did a lot of research before our trek and understand how difficult it is to choose a company as there are so many out there. Based on positive Trip Advisor reviews, we chose Nepal Hiking Team. Every time we contacted Ganga, the owner of Nepal Hiking Team, he always provided exceptional service. He answered all of our questions in a prompt and professional manner. Somehow, through email, he gave us comfort that we would be in good hands and, we were.

We were picked up at the airport by a guide and brought to the hotel where we met Ganga. The company provided a guided tour of Kathmandu before our trek, which was included in the price. This was very interesting. The guide, Kumar, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

During the trek, we were supported by our trusted guide, Gokul. He was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. He took very good care of us during the trek. He ensured we were happy and healthy each day. We felt comfortable with him and trusted his sound advice throughout the trek. Based on Gokul’s advice, we left early on the 8th day and reached Everest Base Camp, before large crowds arrived, which allowed us to enjoy the site and take pictures without being rushed. During the trek, we were also supported by our amazing porter who helped us carry some of our kit. While he did not speak English, he always greeted us with a warm Namaste. He joined us during our ascent to Base Camp and both he and our guide even offered to carry our day packs, which we kindly declined since they work hard enough.

Ganga was extremely professional. He would personally come to the hotel to ensure we were happy and satisfied and that the needs we met. We were completely satisfied and highly recommend Nepal Hiking Tram as they exceeded our expectations. We hope this helps you in your decision to choose a company for your experience in Nepal.

  • Mother- Daughter adventure

Nepal Hiking Team provided a great adventure! I really appreciate the clear and rapid communication before the trip - Ganga answered any question that I had within 24 hours. Once in Nepal everything was handled really well. The trek, with Arun as our guide, was amazing. We were not able to make it to EBC as altitude illness was a problem, but Arun and the team were able to pivot and take care of us and always made us feel safe. Our porter Prim was so cheerful and helpful too. I would recommend this group to anyone.

  • EBC trek in December 2023

In December 2023 my friends and I embarked on a journey, to the Everest Base Camp alongside the Nepal Hiking Team. It was truly an experience although we did encounter some challenges in Kathmandu before we began our trek.

Ganga, one of the team members went above. Beyond helping us overcome these issues ensuring that our trip was enjoyable and successful. We are truly grateful for his efforts. Ultimately three of us managed to reach the Everest Base Camp on foot while one of our group members opted for a helicopter ride. The important thing is that we all accomplished our goal.

Throughout the trek, Arun served as our guide providing support along with Susan and Ram who carried our belongings as porters. Their dedication ensured that everything went smoothly. We were incredibly fortunate to experience weather in mid-December. It was chilly. With clear skies and plenty of sunshine.

The added bonus was the lack of crowds. Again I want to extend my thanks to Ganga and his team, for their incredible help, throughout this unforgettable journey. I wholeheartedly recommend them! Thumbs up all the way! 👍👍👍

  • Unforgettable trip to Mera Peak summit

The journey to conquer Mera Peak in the majestic Himalayas with the Nepal Hiking Team was an experience beyond compare. We made it to the summit of Mera Peak and had an awesome journey.

Our three-week trek to Mera Peak was well-organized. The Nepal Hiking Team planned everything from transportation and accommodations to meals and permits, leaving us free to immerse ourselves fully in the breathtaking scenery and exhilarating challenge ahead. Thanks a lot to Ganga, Sanjay, and Dipak, who supported us during the trek and provided a wonderful experience.

  • A challenging but rewarding trek - Manaslu in Nepal

Our group of 13 hikers took on the Manaslu Circuit trek with Nepal Hiking Team, and the experience was truly astonishing as we journeyed through stunning valleys adorned by white snow-covered mountains.

The Nepal Hiking Team managed every detail seamlessly—from airport pickup and a city tour of Kathmandu to transportation, accommodations, and meals throughout the round trip to Manaslu.

Our guides (Arun, Gokal, and Surin) were not only knowledgeable but also helpful. Their attentive care made the trek all the more enjoyable. A special touch we appreciated was the fresh fruit served after dinner each night.

I wholeheartedly recommend Nepal Hiking Team and look forward to trekking and using their services again in the future!

  • Hope to do it again soon

They know exactly what they’re doing and do it with high-level excellence. We were a ragtag team of seven, aged between 40 and 65 years, and they got us safely up to 16,500 feet and back without a problem.

Arun Ji (our guide) was truly special—he could do in advance what we needed, make adjustments along the way, and handle all the twists and turns that come with trekking in remote areas, where access is limited, and you have to adapt and overcome.

Ganga ji (the owner, ji at the end of the name, which is used in terms of respect) was incredibly supportive throughout the planning to end phase. He helped us navigate every shifting date and requirement, tossed in a few extras, and made the whole trip an amazing one.

I highly recommend this team if you’re looking for a personalized trekking experience. Make sure to ask for Arun Ji as your guide—you’ll thank me later!

  • Perfect family trekking experience

Where can I begin? From the very first inquiry email which was replied by the owner, Ganga, to the first meeting of the team and the final days in Pokhara and Kathmandu, everything was professionally arranged with proper care for our family and well-being.

We chose Nepal Hiking Team after checking a number of factors: recent TripAdvisor reviews, familiarity of trekking with children, responsiveness, and ownership as we were looking for a Nepalese owned company. We are a family of 4 with two small children, almost 4 and just over 5 years old who have been on an extended tour around the world and we did not have much time to prepare. Plus, we did not originally planned on coming to Nepal. We have explored many cities and beaches, and we thought of getting into the peaks for some time. Trekking with a family with small kids and with such a wide range of fitness level was quite daunting, but Ganga did not flinch and proficiently recommended the wonderful trek (Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Ghandruk). We enjoyed right accommodations, planned extra stops for rest and for the kids to play, and put together with a team so incredible that my husband and I could not have been more delighted.

We were quite worried to start, as we were doubtful concerning whether the kids would take pleasure from the days hiking or being carried as the paths are quite steep. We met our guide, Arjun, the night before we head off to Pokhara who made us really comfortable. He was very experienced: calm, attentive, and professional. We also met with the rest of the team: 3 porters named Mithu, Arun, and Surendra (one for our luggage and one for each child, just in case). All were fantastic people especially Arun who immediately distinguished himself as almost a second guide. He was much helpful and responsive, proactive to meet to any of our needs or concerns, and our generally shy kids mixed-up with him immediately.

Arjun and Arun were ever patient, always thought of ahead, carefully outlined the course of the day, pre-arranged the best accommodations, thoughtful to get the kids biscuits and entertain with their playfulness. Each morning, we set out at 8AM and typically had approximately 5 hours of hiking, with well planned water and tea breaks. The trek itself was lovely which included walking through several villages, crossing a lot of rivers and waterfalls, and definitely the views of the Annapurna range were stunning. We were lucky to have clear visibility to witness the sun rise over the snow-topped peaks. The accommodations were perfect. The team seems to know all the finest places and we always got the opportunity to see great views from the rooms.

Without any doubt, this trekking experience will be amongst our top highlights of our family adventure whole year around the world. The trip turned out to be an unforgettable trip with the amazing services of the impeccable Nepal Hiking Team. I could not give a higher recommendation for the company than NHT. We met a number of others who were also hiking with NHT, and they also shared about the same satisfaction. There is no doubt that we will make a trip to Nepal (with kids a few years grown-up with longer legs to match the steps!) and we will certainly seek out NHT as well as recommend the outfit to our closest friends and family.

  • Mount Kailash - A Dream come true

We completed Kailash Kora. The whole program is about 2 weeks with all aspects of travel, food, accommodation, acclimatization hikes for altitude, contingency plans for hikers falling behind or sick, pilgrimage and Pooja plans, etc taken care of.

Gangaji was in the process but on the ground during the entire hike along the way Arun, Gokul, and Dawa were phenomenal.

Thank you so much. You all made this an experience that one can only dream of.

  • Mount Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Nepal Hiking team handled our trip to Kailash Manasariovar Yatra seamlessly from Day 1 to Day 16. We were a very large group embarked on a Holy Yatra to Kailash Manasarovar from the USA. Proper acclimatization and good food was very important along with good guides to assist and enhance the experience. Gangaji and his guides Arun and Gokul made the trip very effortless. 2 Day hike in Nepal was a very good training for the group.

Food all along was very good, freshly made to taste and altitude. Baggage handling was quiet an effort and done seamlessly. Health Emergencies were handled to the best as it happens at High altitude and travel.

Accommodations at Kathmandu (Woodapple hotel) Saga, Kerung, Darchen, Dhirapuk were great. Customized Tshirts, Muffler and Duffel bags were a great souvenir. The whole trip was successful with largest ever group of 33 crossing the DolmaLa pass and having Darshan of Gauri Kund. Customized Holy bath at Manasarovar and Puja were a great addition to the trip.
