Book with Nepal Hiking Team!
I did the 14-day Everest Base Camp trek and was so impressed away by the fantastic service from the moment I booked the trip until I returned to Kathmandu after achieving my goal of reaching base camp. As a solo female traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than this one I got. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, my guide welcomed and took me to the WoodApple Hotel situated at the city center (Thamel); perfect spot to wander out or grab any last-minute hiking essentials—everything you need is there!
You’ll need to repack into the NHT duffel bags they provide, making sure your gear stays under the 15kg limit, so pack smart! My guide, Ram Sharan, was absolutely incredible throughout the trek. He kept a great pace for me and made sure I was always in the best shape to reach EBC. His knowledge of the Himalayas was endless, and every question I had was answered with a smile. He checked on me constantly—whether it was about food, water, or just making sure I felt okay every step of the way.
Every tea houses that we stayed on the route were carefully chosen (top accommodation), giving us the best stays possible. Each evening, we were well-briefed on the plan for the following day so that we are aware of what will happen next, which kept things smooth and stress-free. The entire trek was such a joy and fun, and even with the challenges, it was incredibly rewarding.
Reaching EBC was one of the most challenging but fulfilling things I’ve ever done. I can’t recommend NHT more highly.
