Our group of seven men, all around 65 years of age, completed the Manaslu Circuit with our fantastic guide, Diprenda (“Deep”).
He was knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and terrific fun. The team of friendly and helpful porters enhanced our overall positive experience, ensuring we were well looked after throughout the trek.
The entire trek was efficiently managed and well-organized, providing good value for money. It included meals, teas, coffee, and all necessary entry permits.
The food along the way was not only tasty but also plentiful, with the team providing fresh fruit desserts each night and biscuits with our cuppas.
Accommodations ranged from excellent hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara to more basic, spartan conditions in Dharmasala, with a mix of comfortable lodgings elsewhere along the trail.
Some nights in April were quite cold to freezing; however, the blankets provided in the teahouses, along with the sleeping bag and down jacket supplied by the company, kept us very warm.
I recommend the Nepal Hiking Team, and you should hope to have Diprenda Dhakal as your guide.
