My wife and I completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek with the Nepal Hiking Team in April. There is not one single thing I would have changed about our trip. We were extremely satisfied with the accommodations in Kathmandu, along the hike and in Pokhara, where the trip ended. From the first time we contacted Nepal Hiking Team, they were nothing but accommodating and had a bend-over-backward mentality, making sure we were happy in every way.
We set our specific dates to start and end the hike and even extended our stay in Pokhara after completing it, making it a wonderful custom trip for us. They were the first faces we saw after landing at Kathmandu (leaving us with orange flowers) and the last faces upon departure (draping us in white cloth for good luck). This is speaking just of the main staff based in Kathmandu (Hari, Ram, and Ganga) – not even mentioning the hike support team we had in our guide, Prakash, and helper (porter), Raj.
We felt so comforted with our team members. Any problems along the trail, sickness or discomfort, they were attentive and supportive. We were truly blessed to have such kind hearted and knowledgeable people to make sure we were fine during the duration of the hike. The pace was set perfectly according to our liking and the route was both challenging and gratifying. Prakash was the perfect fit, with a fantastic personality and a wealth of hiking knowledge. Raj was kind and supportive – it would not have been possible without him carrying so much of our stuff!
Bottom line, book a trek through Nepal Hiking Team, and you won’t regret it. To top it off, they finish every dinner with fresh-cut apples and oranges as a welcome treat for dessert each night.
