We went on our Everest Base Camp trek during the first two weeks of September 2024. From the moment we landed at Kathmandu airport, even in a rainstorm, Nepal Hiking Team was right there to guide us. Throughout the entire trip, they were nothing but consummate professionals, ensuring we achieved our goal of reaching Everest Base Camp.
Our guide, Paban Panta, was exceptional—professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. He anticipated our every need and kept us motivated with his great sense of humor. As someone with Parkinson’s Disease and MS, the trek was especially challenging for me, but Paban was my greatest cheerleader. He kept a watchful eye on my progress without ever making a fuss.
Gopal, our porter, was equally wonderful—sweet, polite, and diligent in caring for our gear as if it were his own. He was always there with a helping hand when needed.
The tea houses and food along the trail were excellent, and every detail of the trip was carefully handled.
Nepal Hiking Team was easy to work with, answering all of our questions promptly and executing the trip flawlessly. This is truly a first-class operation, and I cannot recommend them enough.
