Annapurna Mini Circuit in May 2013

We had a really great and perfectly organized trip. Started with pick-up at the airport, drive to a nice hotel in Kathmandu (Moonlight Hotel, next to Thamel district), Kathmandu city Tour. The next day we were picked up by our guide Prakash who was really nice and fun (yeah Prakash!!). Our porter Ras was also great. Driven by private car to Besi Sahar, which is not usual, many companies let you go by bus.

One advise: We would recommend starting the hike at Besi Sahar and saving you the "interesting" bus ride to Chamje.
Everything on the trip was perfectly well organized. In fact, we had the impression we always got the nicest rooms at the guesthouses. Food included plus we always got fresh fruit for desert which they carried for us all the way.
Had no problems with altitude sickness thanks to Prakash always making us eat garlic soup (not to nice but really helps) and making us do acclimatization walks all the time.

Not to forget the nice surprise that he had for us at the pass: Gipfelschokolade (summit chocolate)!
Flying back from Johmson, Prakash managed to get us onto the first plane which turned out to be the only one actually flying that day, the others had to stay on the ground due to bad weather. So we were among the few who made it to Phokara, the others had to wait a day.

In Phokara we had a really really great Hotel. It was also no problem when we wanted to stay an extra day and asked them to pick us up (again by private car) a day later.

Altogether, we had a really great time. Value for money was great. We'll definitely come back for EBC.
