Through the richly dense forests of luscious Rhododendron, Pikey Peak lies in the vast lower Khumbu region of the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. It is located on the foothills of the beautiful Namche bazaar. Even though it is still underrated, it was Sir Edmund Hillary's favorite spot to admire the great view of the marvelous Mount Everest (Sagarmatha).

Standing tall at an altitude of 4065m, Pikey Peak boasts an incredible panoramic view of all the eight 8000m mountain peaks: The majestic Mount Everest (8848m) and other marvelous mountainous peaks: Kanchenjunga (8598m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8163m), and Annapurna (8091m).

The Major Highlights of the Pikey Peak

The highlight that is impossible to miss on this peak is the golden sunrise and sunsets, which shiningly reflect the gleaming mountains. One can also witness the broad panoramic view of the ever-epic Everest range. The journey through this antique and ethnically abundant town presents you with a promising chance to have a cozy conversation with the local people.

One can also have a vivid venture by visiting the holy shrines and the Buddhist monasteries. It also offers an excellent opportunity to broaden our worldly perspective by learning about the unique culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people. Furthermore, one can explore their taste buds by indulging in a variety of local delicacies that are popular among the indigenous people of this community.

The magical woodlands grant a chance to take long walks along the mystical trails of this path. These paths are adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags, wildflowers, and oak, birch, and bamboo trees. One can also witness the thick fog below that is rising from the valleys. Since Pikey Peak is not mainstream yet, it is relatively peaceful. In contrast to other places, we can enjoy our time in peace and tranquility without a bustling crowd. This hidden gem is comparatively novice to everyone. Therefore, this place still has unspoiled natural beauty.

What are the Best Seasons to Visit Pikey Peak?

The best seasons to visit Pikey Peak are during the springtime (March-May) and during fall (September-December).
